Posted by Elizabeth on December 30, 2006, 12:52 pm, in reply to "CP and Preschoolers" My Name is Elizabeth . I have a mild form or Cerebral Palsy and I have several volunteer jobs working with preschoolers . I think having bigger crayons and paint brushes in the classroom would help if they have trouble with holding on to things such as crayons or paint brushes. I was also thinking that if he or she was drawing a picture that taping the peice of paper down might help so tht the peice of paper does not move when he or she is trying to draw. I was thinking that using adaptive scissors might help if he or she is trying to cut something. I have scissors that you can squezze the handle and then they cut the peice of paper. I think you might be able to find scissors like I have at Scholar's Choice. I would also suggest using bigger balls that are easier to catch to help with gross motor skills. I hope this helps, Elizabeth
