Posted by Rita on December 3, 2006, 6:29 pm My husband and I were in the basement. All of a sudden I told my husband that I wasn't feeling well. Less than a minute later I was sitting on the stairs having serious trouble breathing. I told him to get me something to drink and he ran upstairs for some water. In the minute that it took him to get a glass of water for me and get back downstairs, I couldn't talk anymore and was so weak that I had to lie down on the cement floor. I was also incredibly hot although the cold floor did not cool me down. By the time I was able to get up I was covered in sweat. My breathing was quite staggered and my insides felt like they were being squeezed and shaken all over the place although I had no visible shaking. The whole episode lasted five to ten minutes and then just went away. Rob wanted to help me up to our bedroom but I was completely fine, I just got up on my own and continued to clean my house. Rob thinks this might be a type of seizure. I would appreciate any advice on this as my doctor is on a pregnancy leave at the moment. Thanks a lot.
Can anyone provide me with some info on seizures and what kind(s) are normal for people with CP? I have mild CP and have never had any type of seizure. Then today I was suddenly very ill and I don't know why or what happened but it was very weird.
