My setup to keep fumes out when the do the lobby floors...

I have to laugh. Why does everything in life end up being diametrically opposed? Well, if I wondered if the setup I did with the sheet hung all the way to the ceiling in front of the exterior door worked for keeping fumes out, there was no doubt when I got home last night. I opened the door and it was freezing. I was sure something was wrong with the heat pump but it turns out that the seal I created worked so well that the heat couldn't get past the sheet (ergo, fumes can't get past from outside). When I untaped one side of the sheet to go through the heat was fine. But here's the problem now. There are water pipes in the hall wall in the section I have sealed off. I have no idea what the actual temp was but now I have to put a thermometer in that area tomorrow so I can see the temp when I get home. I don't think it would be that cold that the pipes would freeze but better to make sure. Take care of one worry, create another. Sigh. Cathy and Shiloh
