I received a heavy parcel all the way from Canada today – a surprise gift from my friend Bill from Lachine.
My wife, Mariana was watching in anticipation as I was opening the packet. When I took the gift from its wrapping she just could not believe her eyes. It was a tin of Canadian Maple Syrup.
She ran to our bedroom and brought back a book (novel) that she is currently reading. The book is opened on the page where the main character describes how they make Maple Syrup up in the northeastern part of Northern America.
Now how is that for a coincidence!
Thank you very much Bill, it is a very welcome gift and we will save it for our big family get together early next month.
