Sorry for not responding sooner, but we went away for the long weekend to a nearby holiday resort of Hermanus that Dino from England will very well remember. Dino will also remember Namibia well, as he flew with their airline to SA and landed in the capital Windhoek as a stop over.
Namibia is our neighboring country to the north on the Atlantic ocean side. It has the second largest desert in the world.
Regarding Bill's post about the Namibian shipwreck that yielded gold coins from the late 1400s....
I have a pretty good idea that this will be such a great discovery that many a history book will have to be rewritten.
I mean, the Cape of Good Hope was "only" discovered by the Portuguese in the late 1400s so how is it possible that a shipwreck from the same period now suddenly appears as if from nowhere?
This is going to be a big discovery in the press for a very long time. I will keep you all posted and see link for a local article about this astonishing treasure find …
